The Royal Navy light cruiser Capetown (1919) is at anchor and is seen from abaft her starboard beam. Anchored beyond the Capetown (1919) is her sister ship Colombo (1918) and anchored even further away is one of five United States Coastguard cutters of the Lake class that were commissioned in 1928 and 1929. A 4-masted fruit schooner is at anchor in the centre background.
