A slightly distant starboard side view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the steam tug Parreiros Horta (1908) under way on the River Amazon passing a building on stilts on the bank of the Ilha Jararaca near Belem, Brazil. The tug has F437 painted on the bow. The photographer is on a cruise on the Swedish passenger cruise ship Kungsholm (1928). The settlement is shown in negatives numbers P90293, P90300 and P92463 to P92478 inclusive and is variously recorded as Jaracaras and Jararacas.
