A man sitting in a small canoe named Iracy next to the bank of the Ilha Jararaca near Belem, Brazil. Log rafts are at the water's edge and on the shore is a wooden building with a thatched roof made from leaves. The photographer is on a cruise on the Swedish passenger cruise ship Kungsholm (1928). The settlement is shown in negatives numbers P90293, P90300 and P92463 to P92478 inclusive and is variously recorded as Jaracaras and Jararacas.
