The village of Perast in the Bay of Kotor, Yugoslavia. The photographer is looking north-north-east from on board a passenger cruise ship showing the spire of St Anthony's Church to the left of centre and the tall spire of the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary and St. Nicholas just to the right of centre. Between them at the water's edge is the small flat-fronted Church of St. Mark. The square tower of the Catholic Monastery is on the lower slope of St. Ilija Hill on the right.
