The harbour of Kotor, Yugoslavia, from on board the Orient Line passenger cruise ship Orford (1928)

The harbour and east side of Kotor, Yugoslavia. The photographer is on board the Orient Line passenger cruise ship Orford (1928), which is manoeuvring to come to anchor. He is looking forward from the port side of the poop showing the accommodation ladder already rigged for disembarking passengers. A number of small boats are close to the ship. A coastal passenger ship and two steam coasters are alongside the wharf on the right. The large dome and two small cupolas of the Serbian Orthodox Church of St. Nicholas are in the centre of the picture and mountains are in the background.
