On board an unidentified passenger cruise ship anchored off the port of La Guaira, Venezuela. The photographer is looking south-east showing three large ships at anchor off the breakwater. The nearest vessel is the Dutch passenger cruise ship Volendam (1922) seen from off her port quarter. The town is beyond the harbour on the lower slopes of the Cordillera de la Costa Central Mountain Range. A number of 2-masted schooners are to the right of centre and a fortress is high above the town. The negative is slightly out of focus.
