On board an unidentified passenger cruise ship anchored off the port of La Guaira, Venezuela. The photographer is looking south-east showing the French passenger cruise ship Cuba (1923) under way off the breakwater. She is seen from abaft her port beam. The town is beyond the harbour on the lower slopes of the Cordillera de la Costa Central Mountain Range. A large number of 1 and 2-masted sailing vessels are anchored to the right of centre and a fortress is high above the town.
