Abandon ship boat drill on board the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) in an unknown anchorage. The photographer is looking forward and down from the starboard side showing a wooden lifeboat in the water but still attached to her falls. A few passengers and a number of the crew, all wearing life jackets, are in the boat. Ahead is another wooden lifeboat suspended in her falls above the water and she is almost totally manned by members of the ship's crew. The activity is being watched by locals in four small rowing boats lying off. A vertical format negative. Negatives numbers P84333 to P84335,P84497, P84499 and P84501 were taken on the same occasion.
