Lifeboats from the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) under oars in an anchorage off an unknown Mediterranean town and harbour. Five of her wooden lifeboats are being rowed around the anchorage while one of the ship's motor lifeboats is under way in the foreground, closer to the ship. The photographer is on board the ship looking towards the shore and on the right is a breakwater with a few sailing vessels berthed just beyond it inside the small harbour. The negative is captioned "Abandon ship". Negatives numbers P84333 to P84335,P84497, P84499 and P84501 were taken on the same occasion.
