The dockyard at Lisbon, Portugal. The photographer is on board a boat heading away from the Alcantara Dock looking west-north-west showing a single masted, gaff rigged lighter withe B789TL on the sail and the bow. A small steamship is berthed in front of the dock gates of No. 1 dry dock which has a larger steamship docked down. Dry dock No. 2 appears to contain a couple of small sailing vessels.
