Admiralty Arch, The Mall, London. The photographer is standing in the centre of The Mall looking north-east towards the Strand showing the full curve of the Admiralty building with the three arches in the centre of the picture. A few motor cars are parked on either side of The Mall. At the top of the Admiralty Building is the Latin inscription ":Anno:Decimo:Edwardi:Septemi:Regis:Victoriae:Reginae:Cives:Gratissimi:MDCCCCX: which means: In the tenth year of King Edward VII, to Queen Victoria, from most grateful citizens, 1910. The arch was completed in 1912.
