The north side of the village of Lyngseidet, Lyngen Fjord, Norway. A motor fishing vessel is alongside a wharf and a cylindrical Shell oil tank, timber fish drying racks and another motor fishing vessel are on the shore. The photographer is on board the Swedish passenger cruise ship Kungsholm (1928) at anchor in Lyngen Fjord looking forward from outside the rail of the promenade deck on the starboard side showing three of the ship's boats being lowered and the forward accommodation ladder is deployed. Sixteen double ended rowing boats are close to the ship. The lower slopes of the mountain across the bay are densely wooded and the peaks have patches on snow on them.
