Shipping in the Bahia da Potinha at Funchal, Madeira. The photographer is on the breakwater at the base of the Mohle Fort looking north-west showing a starboard bow view of the wooden 3-masted schooner Algarve 3 (1921) alongside the breakwater with the general cargo steam coaster Butio (1904) astern of her. Amongst other craft is the harbour is the local motor workboat Victoria. Just beyond the sea wall is the premises of Blandys Deposito de Madeira and in the background is the Savoy Hotel.
