The photographer is looking north-north-east from a passenger cruise ship further offshore showing an unidentified motor yacht, seen from off her starboard beam. Inshore of the yacht and seen from only just abaft her starboard beam is the Lamport & Holt Line cargo liner Lalande (1920). A large warehouse or factory building with a circular chimney can be seen above the stern of the Lalande (1920).
