On board the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) at anchor in an unknown location. The photographer is on a raised structure just abaft the upper promenade deck looking forward and to port showing the forward davit on number 16 lifeboat which has been launched. Two of the ship's officers are standing by the ship's rail in the corner of the upper promenade deck looking at two motor boats laden with passengers proceeding away from the ship in line ahead. A vertical format negative.
