The photographer is looking aft along the port side of the boat deck from near the centre line at the rear of the bridge. The ship's funnel and one of her boiler room ventilators are prominent. A seaman is climbing the steps from the boat deck up to the bridge deck. Steep sided mountains are on either side of the narrow fjord. A vertical format negative.
