The ship has an accommodation ladder rigged to the main deck aft and one of the ship's boat is alongside it. The Blue Peter flag is flying from the port yardarm on the foremast. The photographer is on shore and in the foreground is one of the ship's motor lifeboats alongside the landing stage with passengers disembarking. The Norwegian flag is flying at a flagpole on the landing stage. A vertical format negative.
