A slightly distant port broadside view of the Italian passenger/cargo liner Citta di Trieste (1915) moored in the Grand Harbour stern-on to the Barriera (Quarry) Wharf, Valletta, Malta. She has a windsail ventilator rigged aft of her second funnel. At moorings in the harbour are the Royal Navy battleship Queen Elizabeth (1913) and the heavy cruiser London (1927) of the 1st Cruiser Squadron. The photographer is looking south-west from the Lower Barracca in Valletta.
