Sketch of shipping at Portsmouth including two submarines, a rowing boat, a gaff-rigged yacht, HMS 'Victory' and a line of warships
The date of this pencil drawing is probably about 1906-07. On the left are two submarines of the 'A' class with the lead boat possibly being the 'A3'. Astern of them is HMS 'Victory', then still afloat as the Portsmouth flagship. In the centre there are another two submarines and the lead boat is one of the 'B' class. The ships lined up on the right are too indistinct to identify.
