The Royal Navy battleship Warspite (1913) under way in Grand Harbour, Malta, bound out.
A port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Royal Navy battleship Warspite (1913) under way in the Grand Harbour, Malta. She has neutrality stripes on 'B' turret and is flying the flag of the Commander-in-Chief of the Mediterranean Fleet. The photographer is looking south-west from the Upper Barracca showing, at moorings and all with neutrality stripes, the battleship Barham (1914), the heavy cruiser London (1927) and an unidentified London class heavy cruiser. The Admiralty Floating Dock No. 8 (1917) is in the background. Moored in the left background is a United States Navy light cruiser which is either the Omaha (1920) that arrived in the Mediterranean in April 1938, or the Raleigh (1922) which left the Mediterranean in April 1938.
