Local men carrying wicker fish traps on a narrow part of the Barriera (Quarry) Wharf at Valletta, Malta. The fish traps are large rigid cone shaped baskets, measuring approximately five feet high and three feet base diameter. One man appears to be carrying three or four of them with relative ease. Dghaisas are moored bow-on to the narrow quayside which is at the west end of the Barriera (Quarry) Wharf. A vertical format negative.
