The photographer is on board the Orient Line passenger cruise ship Orontes (1929) arriving in Bighi Bay, Grand Harbour, looking aft and slightly to starboard from the aft end of the starboard side of the boat deck. On the right is Barriera (Quarry) Wharf and Our Lady of Liesse Church with Fort Lascaris and the Upper Barracca in the centre and Floriana with St. Publius Church on the left. A signal station is on the skyline on the right.
