A large number of motor cars are parked on the wharf which is lined with bars, restaurants and other commercial premises. Many of the buildings are displaying signs and advertisements including Lambert Brothers Ltd, Cherry Blossom Boot Polish, Use Blue Bell Metal Polish, Dreadnought, Crown & Anchor Cocktail Bar and the Furness & Prince Line Agency. The Upper Barracca is on the right and the bastion wall protecting Floriana is on the left.
