A distant port side view, taken from abaft the beam, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company's passenger cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) at moorings in Bighi Bay, Grand Harbour, Malta. A Royal Navy heavy cruiser of the London Class (1927) of the 1st Cruiser Squadron is moored between the cruise ship and the Royal Naval Hospital at Bighi. She has awnings rigged over her forecastle and quarterdeck. The photographer is in the Upper Barracca at Valletta and fort Rinella is in the background.
