A Royal Navy heavy cruiser of the London Class (1927) of the 1st Cruiser Squadron is moored between the cruise ship and the Royal Naval Hospital at Bighi. She has awnings rigged over her forecastle and quarterdeck. The photographer is in the Upper Barracca at Valletta and fort Rinella is in the background.
