The photographer is to seaward looking north-by-east showing a jetty and commercial premises on the waterfront and beyond them is the steeple of St. Louis Cathedral. Among the commercial establishments on the waterfront are the premises of Agence Saint James, Entrepot J. Duplan & Co. and Shell. Two large lighters are anchored offshore.
