The village of Merok in Geirangerfjord, More og Romsdal, Norway. The photographer is on board a passenger cruise ship at anchor in the fjord looking towards the shore showing two of her motor tenders transferring passengers between the ship and the shore. Alongside the landing stage is the coastal passenger/cargo steamer Kong Sverre (1867) seen from very fine off her port quarter. The Meroks hotel is in the centre at the waterline and the Hotel Geiranger is beyond it. A vertical format negative.
