A German Navy light cruiser and the Orient Line passenger cruise ship Ormonde (1917) anchored off Merok in Geirangerfjord, More og Romsdal, Norway
Geirangerfjord at Merok, More og Romsdal, Norway. The photographer is on high ground above Merok looking north-west over trees showing a starboard broadside view of a German Navy light cruiser of the Königsberg class, either the Königsberg (1927), Karlsruhe (1927) or Köln (1928). Beyond this warship and seen from well abaft her starboard beam is the Orient Line passenger cruise ship Ormonde (1917). The zig-zag path beyond the tree on the right is Eagle Pass, which is closed for most of the year.
