In the harbour at Mitylene, Lesbos Island, Greece. Motor tender C from the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company passenger cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) is leaving the quayside laden with passengers. Beyond her is the stern of an inter-island passenger ferry which is berthed stern-on to the quay and has two gangplanks ashore. A large number of people are on the quayside which is backed by shops and other commercial premises. The negative is showing signs of reticulation but a scan made in May 2019 is available.
