H.M.S. Victory, Portsmouth Harbour
Medium includes graphite. Inscribed by Wyllie in pencil, immediately below the image, 'HMS Vitcory as she is today drawn by WL Wyllie from his window at Point [,] Portsmouth' and along the bottom of the sheet 'Treat both these drawings with care and return to WL Wyllie [,] Tower House' : this was his large Portsmouth home and studio immediately behind the Round Tower on Portsmouth Point from 1906 to his death in 1931.
