A starboard broadside view of the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) anchored in Sognefjord at Balholm, Norway. Her port anchor is deployed and an accommodation ladder is rigged to the main deck aft with one of her motor lifeboats alongside the foot of the ladder. Lifeboat number 17 has been launched and a motor tender is being hoisted or lowered using one of the forward starboard derricks. Number 1 seaboat has been swung out and lowered to boat deck level. There is snow and ice on the top of the mountain in the background.
