Vessels in Port Hercule at Monaco with the district of Monte Carlo in the background.
Leisure and commercial vessels in Port Hercule at Monaco. The photographer is on the west side of the harbour looking north-east towards the north breakwater. The passenger tender La Nymphe (1916), seen from abaft the starboard beam, is alongside the north wall and the cabin cruiser Angela (fl. 1930) is anchored in the centre of the harbour. The Hermitage Hotel in the district of Monte Carlo is in the left background and the Casino de Monte Carlo is in the centre of the picture. The funnels of the Dutch passenger cruise ship Statendam (1929) can be seen beyond the breakwater on the right.
