Shipping in the Bacino Angioino in the port of Naples, Italy
Shipping in the Bacino Angioino in the port of Naples, Italy. The photographer is on the starboard side of the forecastle on board an unidentified Canadian Pacific Steamships Duchess class (1928) passenger cruise ship alongside the Molo Angioino. The tug Littorio (1927), seen from wide off her starboard quarter, is connected to the bow of the cruise ship ready to tow her out of harbour. The Italian Navy heavy cruiser Zara (1930), seen from fine off her starboard quarter, is also moored to the Molo Angioino and another cruiser is berthed to port of her. Two Italian Navy cruisers and the destroyer Aquilone (1927) are alongside the breakwater on the right. Vesuvius is in the background.
