Italian Navy Marcello class (1937-1938) submarines in the Bacino Angioino at Naples, Italy
Five Italian Navy Marcello class (1937-1938) submarines in the Bacino Angioino at Naples, Italy. Four of the boats are berthed stern-on to the Molo San Vincenzo and one has some of her crew on deck at hands for leaving harbour stations. They are all seen from off the port bow. On the left and also seen from off her port bow is the Italian Navy torpedo boat Generale Antonio Cantore (1921) with the hull recognition letters CE. A long three storey building with bays numbered from 5 to 24 is in the background.
