No. 5 [Lower Hangar] Deck. The Lower Hangar in the vicinity of frame 110, looking to starboard. Large stowage shelves can be seen at Lower Gallery and Upper Hangar deck levels. To the left at hangar deck level are a radar cooling point, fire point no. 5 and hydraulic hose stowage.

This is part of a series of photographs taken during the final stages of HMS Ark Royal's last major refit which was completed in 1970. The location references are derived from the deck plans in the latest edition of the ship's NBCD book.
