On board the anchored Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company passenger cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) in the harbour at Narvik, Norway. The ship is on a cruise of Norwegian fjords and the photographer is looking aft along the starboard side of the upper deck from abreast the forward funnel. The ship's lifeboats are under their davits. The LKAB iron ore works dominate the Narvik waterfront and the parish church is in the background to the left of centre.
