Small houses in a desolate landscape in the vicinity of Narvik, Norway

Small houses and lakes in a desolate landscape in the vicinity of Narvik, Norway. This is presumably well above sea level as the land is covered with patches of snow and is almost devoid of trees. The photographer is on a shore excursion from the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company passenger cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) which is on a cruise of Norwegian fjords. The negative is captioned "Narvik".
