A view of a dumb barge in the lock on the Chesapeak & Delaware canal.

A colour transparency positive showing an elevated view along the length of the lock on possibly the Chesapeak & Delware Canal. The water is very low in the lock so that photogrpaher is standing above the height of the dumb barge below. In the distance is ther pilot house of the tug Anne Moran (1938). The towpath of the canal can be seen on the vessel's port and starboard side. Houses can be seen in the foreground on the right of the image and in the background on the left hand side. The canal lock is situated behind the vessel. This is taken on the same day as PCT2624, which shows the two vessels with more water in the lock.
