The local traders' market on the quayside adjacent to the passenger terminal in the harbour at Nassau, Bahamas. The photographer is looking north-west showing a large stalls laden with decorative woven baskets, handbags, shoulder bags and hats of various styles. Each stall has an umbrella opened above it. Hardly visible alongside the passenger terminal are the tender Lady Cordeaux (1922) and a Canadian National Steamships passenger/cargo liner of the Lady class, possibly Lady Somers (1929).
