Downtown Nassau, the harbour and Paradise Island, Bahamas.
Downtown Nassau, the harbour and Paradise Island, Bahamas. The photographer is looking north from the Water Tower, completed in 1928, showing trees, gardens and rooftops in the foreground. The passenger terminal is on the left and the forward part of the passenger tender Lady Cordeaux (1922) can be seen at the east end of the terminal building. A small inter island passenger/cargo steamer is close to the waterfront on the right and a single funnelled steamer that may be a private yacht is on the extreme right.
