The south side of the harbour waterfront at Nauplia, Greece
The south side of the harbour waterfront at Nauplia, Greece. The photographer is looking east-south-east from the breakwater showing two men paddling at the water's edge with a small number of open boats in the harbour. On the right is the Acropolis of Akronafplia and beyond it is the Palamidi Fortress. A building on the quayside has a Greek name on it which may be E.B. Smurnai? (the last symbol resembles a v above an o but this cannot be found in any reference to the Greek alphabet or numerals or on a computer Character Map).
