The south side of the harbour waterfront at Nauplia, Greece
The south side of the harbour waterfront at Nauplia, Greece. The photographer is looking south-east-by-east from the end of the breakwater showing a small number of open boats in the harbour and people on the rocks on the right. A building on the quayside in the centre of the picture has a Greek name on it which may be E.B. Smurnai? (the last symbol resembles a v above an o but this cannot be found in any reference to the Greek alphabet or numerals or on a computer Character Map). In the background is the Acropolis of Akronafplia with its clock tower and on the left is the Palamidi Fortress.
