The Ruhl Beach and the Promenade des Anglais at Nice, France. The photographer is looking west from Castle Hill showing a number of motor cars parked on the Promenade des Anglais. The steeply sloping Ruhl Beach is almost deserted. An illuminated Cunard sign is on the roof of the Hotel de Luxembourg and beyond it is the dome of the Le Negresco Hotel.
