On board the Cunard White Star Line passenger cruise ship Britannic (1930) manoeuvering astern away from Pier 90 at New York. The photographer is on the port side amidships looking into the pier shed showing well-wishers at first floor level watching the ship pull away. A few strands of ticker tape are caught on the ship's rigging.
