On board the Cunard White Star Line passenger cruise ship Britannic (1930) manoeuvering astern away from Pier 90 at New York. The photographer is on the port side of the foredeck looking forward and to port showing passengers looking at well-wishers on the first floor of the pier at bays 22 to 26, 28 and 30 as the ship pulls away. Piles of ticker tape is on the deck and is floating on the breeze.
