Small boat landing stages at the south-west end of Norheimsund, Norway.

Small boat landing stages at the south-west end of Norheimsund, Norway. The photographer is looking along the waterfront showing double-ended open boats alongside the wooden stages and a stone jetty with wooden, tiled roof sheds on the right. People are on the landing stage and the jetty. The Orient Line passenger cruise ship Orion (1935), seen from off her port beam, is at anchor in Hardangerfjord in the distance. Her funnel has been extended in height and one of her boats is heading towards the shore in the centre of the picture.
