A distant view of the Fyksesund suspension bridge off Hardangerfjord, Norway. The photographer is looking east-south-east from high ground. The bridge spans the Fyksesundfjord between the villages of Øystese and Ålvik, is 344 metres (1,129 ft) long, was designed by bridge engineer Olaf Stang (1871-1956) and was opened on 9 October 1937 by the Norwegian Crown Prince Olav. The negative is captioned "Fixasund Norheimsund".
