They are waiting to take passengers on an excursion to Lake Olden, which is also known as the Oldevatnet. Passengers from the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) are waiting on the landing stage and the ship, seen from just ahead of her starboard beam, is anchored offshore in Invikfjord.
