The landing steps on the north side of Oslo harbour, Norway

The landing steps on the north side of the harbour at Oslo, Norway. The photographer is looking north-by-east showing motor lifeboat number 18 from an unidentified Orient Line passenger cruise ship alongside the landing steps and on the guardrail is a lifebuoy with Oslo Havnevesen (Oslo Port Authority) on it. A large number of people and motor vehicles are in the main square and the buildings fronting the square include a restaurant, Alf Bjercke Farvehandel Skippen, City Magazin, and a Creditbanken. A rooftop advert sign reads Lotus. The Norwegian and British Union flags are flying at the landing steps.
