The village of Oystese near Norheimsund, off Hardangerfjord, Norway
The village of Oystese off Hardangerfjord, Norway. The photographer is on a shore excursion from the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company passenger cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) anchored offshore in Hardangerfjord and he is on the road on the east side of the village looking across the head of the fjord showing the commercial wharf in the north-west corner of the village. The nearest mountains are heavily forested and the furthest ones have patches of snow on them.
