The photographer is on the port side of the aft promenade deck looking forward and to port showing the stern of lifeboat 20. A women is sitting in a deck chair and another is leaning on the ship's rail. Monte Pellegrino is in the background and on the southern peak is the Grand Hotel Utveggio, opened in 1934.
